Of wide rounded form. Beautifully decorated with butterflies, flowers, and rockery painted in vivid famille verte colors upon a light and vibrant yellow ground. Famille Jaune porcelains from the Kangxi period are very rare and were among the most highly prized and costly Kangxi decorative ceramics collected in the West in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Today, they are very seldomly encountered outside of museums. This is only the second Famille Jaune Bowl we have had in over 30 years.
