Each finely modelled and forming a true pair, male and female: the male with brocaded ball; the female with a cub at her side. Posed seated upright on their haunches and mounted upon integral rectangular bases decorated with reserves of Precious Antiques set upon a cracked ice ground. The bodies of the Fu Lions are glazed yellow; their heads in green; and manes and curls in green, aubergine, and blue. Their foreheads bear a Wang symbol meaning Emperor or Ruler.
