Based upon Meissen porcelain decoration from the period with European figures in a Western setting in the center; the flanged rims with pastoral Chinese land and seascapes, set upon an extremely rare engraved white on white ground.

It is interesting that even at a time when porcelain could finally be made in Europe, plates such as these (in the style of Meissen porcelain) were still procured from China.
