Beautifully carved in the full round with a semi-recumbent Fu Lion playing with his seven cubs and a brocaded ball.  Four cubs stand on top of him; the others are around his legs.  Beautifully carved in fine detail.  The stone of mostly red tones with areas of yellow/ beige.  The detailing to the curls and features is remarkable.  The motif of Fu lions and cubs playing is symbolic of a happy family.
