Fine and Rare Chinese Fu Lion Cadogan Teapot

Mid-18th century

Modeled in the form of a Fu Lion grasping a brocaded ball. With archaistic handle in imitation of lacquer.  Glazed in a variety of deep and vibrant enamels.  Of very rare type and wonderful form.  We are aware of only a few of this type in porcelain and in our experience this is the finest example we have seen.

Ex Collection: C. Sheid with label to the underside.
