Marks: KHC for Khecheong
Finely decorated in repousse with landscapes, buildings, and figural decoration. Most notably, the cover decorated with the Gathering of Scholars at the Lan Ting, Orchid Pavillion (a famous tale from the 4th century). The inside cover with two dedication inscriptions, the first to J. McKay in 1846 from Hong Kong notables in appreciation of his playing of the bag-pipes and sword dancing. The second in appreciation to Mr. Peter MacLagan in 1857 by his fellow Highland officers.
