Chinese Bronze Censer of a Happiness Twin Standing on a Three Legged Toad

Ming dynasty, ca: 16th century


Finely modeled- the Twin holding a gourd while and standing on one foot upon the oversized Toad.  Both symbolic of good fortune and happiness.  The boy forms the lid to the censer.  All finely detaile with crisp features; the boy with pleasant smiling expression. With an lovely uniform patina.
